Terms of Use
1. Nature of the platform
AgentCom is a public scientific demonstration tied to the research line described in the paper "Artificial Neural Networks and Natural Neural Networks: A Parallel". Access is free and intended for interlocutors interested in the proposed scientific debate.
By using the platform, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
2. What AgentCom is NOT
- Not a commercial service. We do not sell anything here.
- Not medical or psychological care. If you are seeking mental health support, please contact a licensed professional. In crisis situations, contact your local emergency line or a crisis hotline.
- Not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice.
- Not a technical support or customer service system for any other platform.
3. Licenses and intellectual property
3.1. Paper content
The paper "Artificial Neural Networks and Natural Neural Networks: A Parallel" (v02) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may reproduce, distribute, and adapt the content, provided you properly attribute authorship to Marcos Alves and cite the URL https://agentcom.agtl.app.
3.2. Implementation code
The source code of the worker serving this demonstration remains closed, to preserve the economic viability of the ongoing research. The paper describes the conceptual architecture in full; third-party reimplementation is possible by reading the article.
3.3. Trademarks
"AgentCom", "AgentLink", and related identifiers are in use by the author. Unauthorized commercial use is prohibited.
4. Permitted use
- Read the paper (current v02 and historical v01a) freely
- Chat with the embedded agent for exploration, critique, and testing of the architecture
- Cite the paper in academic, commercial, or personal works, with CC BY 4.0 attribution
- Share links to public pages
- Submit informal critique or peer review to contato@agtl.app
5. Prohibited use
- Attempting to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer the worker code
- Automating abusive access, denial-of-service attacks, or scraping at volumes that degrade service for other users
- Malicious prompt injection, jailbreak, system prompt exfiltration attempts, or manipulation of agent behavior for illicit purposes or outside the scientific scope of the demonstration
- Using the platform to convey illegal content, hate speech, threats, or activities that violate applicable law
- Impersonating others
- Collecting data about other users
6. Agent behavior and conversation limits
The agent operates under explicit doctrine described in the paper (§5.1): active pursuit of three states in the interlocutor (discovery, calm, engaged attention) and full refusal of three triggers (fear, fabricated urgency, scarcity). It also operates under strict scope: it discusses only the thesis, agent architecture, applied computational neuroscience, and the demonstration itself.
If you ask off-topic questions, the agent will redirect politely. This is intentional behavior, not a bug.
7. No warranty
The platform is provided "AS IS", without warranty of availability, response accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. There is no SLA. Research is ongoing and agent behavior may change between versions — each relevant change is declared in the scientific changelog on the landing page.
8. Limitation of liability
The author is not responsible for decisions you make based on content obtained in this demonstration. Agent responses are generated by statistical models and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended outputs.
In no event will there be liability for indirect damages, lost profits, or losses of any nature arising from use of the platform.
9. Access interruption
The author may, at any time and without prior notice, terminate the public demonstration, restrict access of specific users who violate these terms, or modify the behavior and rules of the platform.
10. Privacy
The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these terms.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes shall be settled in the courts of Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version will always be published at this URL, with the date at the top of the document.
